Lac Hong School Opens
To meet the needs of the Vietnamese community in the West
Portland, Beaverton, and the surrounding areas, the Lac Hong
Vietnamese language school was established in June of 2004.
The Lac Hong School teaches Vietnamese language and culture.
Students will learn how to read, write, and speak Vietnamese.
Culture, history, and traditional values are intertwined in the
lessons.
The parent organization of the Lac Hong School is the
Vietnamese Science & Culture Society of Oregon (VSCSO), a
non-profit organization. VSCSO provides administrative, staff, and
technical support for the school. Lac Hong school, 100% staffed by
volunteers, is financially funded by a small yearly enrollment
fee, donations, and fundraising events.
Classes are held at PCC Rock Creek from 1:00 to 3:00 PM every
Saturday during the school year.
The following classes are closed to new enrollment: MG A, MG B, & Level 1.
