These pages contain instructions for building Minerva 1.5, a redesigned Minerva that can be built from the pieces in RIS 1.5 alone.

The projects in The Unofficial Guide to LEGO MINDSTORMS Robots were designed to be built using only pieces from the Robotics Invention System. Shortly after the book came out, RIS changed from version 1.0 to 1.5. The pieces included also changed. Unfortunately, the original Minerva cannot be built with RIS 1.5 (three 12t bevel gears are missing). This redesigned version can be built using RIS 1.5 alone.
